Expressions of Concern

• Policy: If there are valid concerns about the conduct or integrity of work published in the journal, the editor may issue an expression of concern pending further investigation. This measure is used to alert readers while the investigation is ongoing.
• Procedure: Expressions of concern can be issued at the discretion of the editor-in-chief, often after consultation with the editorial board and, if appropriate, external experts.
