Types of Articles
IJIME would typically accept a variety of manuscript types, each serving different research and informational purposes:
- Research Articles: Detailed studies reporting original research, typically accompanied by rigorous methodologies, data analysis, and substantial results.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of specific topics within the scope of the journal, critiquing current research, and suggesting future directions.
- Short Communications: Brief reports of data from original research, preliminary findings, or innovative engineering solutions.
- Technical Notes: Descriptions of new techniques, procedures, or findings that are not full articles but are of significant interest.
- Case Studies: In-depth analysis of specific projects or practical engineering problems and solutions.
- Editorials: Insights or commentary from the editorial board or invited guest editors on current trends and future challenges in mechanical engineering.
- Letters to the Editor: Critical views or discussions concerning articles previously published in the journal.
